1:35 of Suck
OK that might be a bit much. Actually I had a great ride. But the day started with me realizing my skewer on the Yakima rack is shot. That sucked, but then it was out to the rural roads near my dad's place and that's cool.
Not cool were the temps. Real monkey-butt inducing heat. Water and HEED were both iced down, but tasted like tepid dish water by the 1/2 hour mark. The ride started good, fitness wise I felt great. My ass is healed up nice, BUT my knee started hurting again after about 10 miles. I'm sure it's not ligaments, tendons etc., pretty sure it's a deep bone bruise (from multiple crashes at B. Bear) and is aggravated when the muscles starts pumping up. Pretty sure it's bone since it hurts to press on the area. Enough about that though, boils down to a nice ride with some pain and a lot of sweat for a short hour-35. But I was in the saddle so it was all good.
Spin at Boyce on the El Santo tomorrow. Hope this F-ing knee start getting better.
Later.

I managed to get out this morning, my ass is still saddle sore to death. After riding coast to coast across the back bone of the Pyrenees for the last week its hard to get excited about a local ride,WHAT AN ANTI CLIMAX, really shit. Legs felt invincible though!!!!!!!!!
The "Letdown" is the worst. Had it last week post-big bear. It's like what now? Plotting next race is helping.
