176.5 Yikes!

No riding tonight. F! I was on B-Man duty while Wifey was out doing her part to keep us from Debter's Prison. Hung with B., watched some Thomas and made some W.T. Mexicana.

Now to get serious (or about as much as I can be)

So I normaly weigh in about 170 - 173. Today saw me at 176.5!!! EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! As a former fatty (years ago) this is NOT cool with me. Especially when I'm training longer and harder than at any other time in my life. I know that at 6"1" , 3 el-bees is not something to be overly concerned about and that a few extra pounds might help me stave off some illness, and that one good serving of Good Friends would probably cut the weight. I know all that. Just not sitting well.

I also plan to cut back my liquied love consumtion. That being Coffee and Beer. The coffee because I like my coffee the way I like my women- pasty-pale Irish white and sweet and I'm sure adding too many extra calories. I'm giving myself 'till Jan 2nd on the beer. I have to Holiday freak on someway (which is code for SURVIVE the freaking holidays). After that I'm starting the NO BEER IN THE HOUSE RULE. Thus restricting myself to one or two pints ONLY when I might be at John Harvards on the weekend for dinner.

I think that now that I'm in Base-1 and I''ll be getting more hours of cardio and bike time on the trainer I should get back to normal. Hell maybe one big steamer will bet it down. HA!Plan to do some extended riding whilst moving watching this weekend or some riding outside but I think the high is only going to be like 35 on Sat. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSShit.

That's it Fort Pitt as my Gram used to say.

Later.

It's the weights. You are adding muscle mass.

winter is about having a little extra love around the middle! my woman says a few lbs makes a biker more attractive - as our faces can get so hollow and sunken when at racing weight. so, beer = being better looking!

KoKo is correct. Now is the time to beef up (in cycling terms). As the training goes on, the weights become less and the reps become higher. This then tones the muscle mass you have created. Keep following your plan and eat right.

Keep hammering!
