Silver and Gold, Silver and Gold...

Another workout down. 60 min. stair master followed by the usual weight stuff. The leg press was a real nut buster tonight. Had to back off at tad to avoid blowing my knee caps across the room.

I hate at the gym when my exercise order gets messed up. Does't that guy know that after I do the chest press I go to the leg extension machine? What's he doing there??? Go away! Drat!

My Element got side swiped by a hit run last night. Nice. No major damage. Had to call the fuzz to get report, yada, yada, yada. Who does this?? Had to know they hit me. Freaking alarm was going off and everything. Hate.

B-Man got his first cycling injury today. A crash on the tricycle at day care has left him with two cuts on his face. Sweet! Just like his dad. (he's ok so I can say this shit).

Check out this link that I got from some of the folks at Bikman.com. If you're into CX you might dig. THIS is old school.

176.5 Yikes!

No riding tonight. F! I was on B-Man duty while Wifey was out doing her part to keep us from Debter's Prison. Hung with B., watched some Thomas and made some W.T. Mexicana.

Now to get serious (or about as much as I can be)

So I normaly weigh in about 170 - 173. Today saw me at 176.5!!! EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! As a former fatty (years ago) this is NOT cool with me. Especially when I'm training longer and harder than at any other time in my life. I know that at 6"1" , 3 el-bees is not something to be overly concerned about and that a few extra pounds might help me stave off some illness, and that one good serving of Good Friends would probably cut the weight. I know all that. Just not sitting well.

I also plan to cut back my liquied love consumtion. That being Coffee and Beer. The coffee because I like my coffee the way I like my women- pasty-pale Irish white and sweet and I'm sure adding too many extra calories. I'm giving myself 'till Jan 2nd on the beer. I have to Holiday freak on someway (which is code for SURVIVE the freaking holidays). After that I'm starting the NO BEER IN THE HOUSE RULE. Thus restricting myself to one or two pints ONLY when I might be at John Harvards on the weekend for dinner.

I think that now that I'm in Base-1 and I''ll be getting more hours of cardio and bike time on the trainer I should get back to normal. Hell maybe one big steamer will bet it down. HA!Plan to do some extended riding whilst moving watching this weekend or some riding outside but I think the high is only going to be like 35 on Sat. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSShit.

That's it Fort Pitt as my Gram used to say.

The Del Boca Vista Condo Assoc. Presents: Phase II

Back to work today and then on to the gym to start phase 2 of my off season training. Started lifting heavier weights and lower reps on many exercises today. I only did 2 of 3 sets at the increased weight in an attempt to not be too sore in the coming days. Did fifty on the s.master too.

Not sure if I can squeeze my hour on the trainer tomorrow or not. On B-Man duty. If I ride it won't be till after 8 or so. Not counting on it though. Does chasing a 22 mo. old around the house count towards my hours? Yeah, right.

Boring Sunday & The Next Phase...

Not much going on today. Spent the day at Papa-M's with B-Man. Ate some Turkey Day left-overs and hung out for a while.

Had a great Saturday night visiting with D.K. and Double-K in from F.L.A. Had some Luciano's Pizza, good beer, wine and choo-choo racing via the hard wood. B-Man says.. "Wanna race?" Sorry 'bout your knee caps D.K.! Wifey and I begged the D.K.s to stay late so we didn't feel like big married-with-children losers. Now I'm dragging ass big time. I was up till like 11:10 p.m.!! (GASP!)

Back to work tomorrow (F!!!) then to the gym for the next phase of training which is Base 1 and my Max Strength phase. Looking forward to some new challenges the next 4 weeks.

Time to write out some bills. Then insert my head in oven.

2 Hours of Sweat...

Did my first 2 hours Stair Master of the off season today. I must have lost 10 pounds in water (sweat that is) Yikes!

Consumed a bottle of Perpetuem, 1 bottle of water, 1 bottle of Accelerade and a Hammer Gel. Took advantage of the the Hammer clearance sale to pick up a new tub-O-Heed. Should be here next week. Only like $11.97 for 32 serving container. Sweet price.

Switched machines at one point so I could watch Football rather than some stupid MTV show about rich girls spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on their 16th birthday party. That's just what America's young women need to see. How 'bout a show about U-23 female cyclists busting their ass and not making dime? Yeah right, THAT will happen.

That's it.

Enter... The VOMITORIUM!!!!!!

Turkey Day went fine. For my part of the meal I made some killer Yams or Sweet Potatoes call 'em whatcha want they were bad ass. Used fresh Yams too, not the syrupy can of mush you can buy. Also cooked up my mashed potatoes. My eating started great- turkey breast, yams, a little stuffing, NO GRAVY of any kind, water, and NO pie. THEN we went to my in-laws for dessert and BAM!... I shoved THREE PIECES of pie down my throat. Dammnnn. Oh well, it was homemade by Mama-O' and it was gooooood.

Took off from work today. Hit the gym for an hour on the stair master and my final weight workout for the AA phase. Next week is nut droppin' time. Or at least heavier weights than I'm using now. Which believe me is NOT much.

Finally "acquired" the Interpol remixed I was looking for last night. Sweeet!

Hope all had a stress free T-Day.

Thanksgiving Eve 2005

I remember a time when T. Giving Eve was a huge party night with friends. Out to the local pubs near my dad's house till 3:00 a.m. then up early to stuff my hung over face with food all day.

Fast forward 5+ years and now Thanksgiving Eve had me at the gym for 2 hours doing and hour on the stair master followed by my strength training. Came home, hung out with the B-Man for a while and ate. Then Wifey and I drank a couple beers, watched Curb Your Enthusiasm, kept the neighborhood safe and went to bed.

I miss some of the fun of going out like that, but I'm more thankful for having quality time having fun and relaxing with Wifey and B-Man. I'm also thankful to have been given the opportunity to get involved with mountain bike racing and the fun and friends that come with it.

So this Thanksgiving give it up for good friends, family, and of course BIKES! Ride on my Turkey eating fools, ride on. Get some Base Miles/Time in and burn off that Pumpkin Pie.

Feeling Like A Thursday...

Tuesday is rocking it like a Thursday due to the Holiday week and I'm loving it!

Did an hour on the trainer tonight. Using my special top secret work out that guarantees that you just miss the podium and out of the money at your next event. Just kidding. I did some warm up spinning for 10 minutes, then staying in my 39 I did 30 revs in each gear up and down the cog with the occasional 53/12 stand/grind/spin to let my ass breathe. Then I finished with a 5 min. cool down spin. All the gear changing gives MY legs the illusion of a rolling course. Your legs might say "Hey knob why do you keep changing gears?- This work out sucks!"

Back to the gym tomorrow for SM & weights then home to make some Yams for T.Give.

What The Eph Bluto?

Dragged ass all a.m. at work. Not sure why. Just had no "Jo" to "Mo". Came home for lunch and brewed up some bust-ass, and made a egg-white sammich on wheat with spinach and U.S. cheese, and that seemed to do the trick.

Post work I headed to the gym for 40 minutes on the stair master followed by weights. Strarted introducing heavier loads into my sets tonight. Probably try to indtroduce more on Wednesday, then focus on cardio and fat/calorie burning the rest of the week. To get rid of the Gobble Day calories. Next week I will be going in to the MS phase of weights. Hope I don't drop a nut. Not sure that's even possible with the feeble amounts of weight I lift. HA!

"Rose" was rockin' the tread mill tonight. That-a-girl Rose!

Wifey and I watched the season ender of Rome tonight on HBO. Ceasar went down with multiple stab wounds to the toga. Yikes.

Not sure what I'm doing tomorrow. Might either do a long-ass stairmaster session or ride trainer. Most likely an hour of steady spinning.

Time to go. Before bed I want to track down a couple Interpol remixes I heard today.

scoobiedoo

After 5 days of no whole wheat pasta. They're back. Thank God. Enter one cleansed colon.
Picked up 5 bags at Shop 'n Save yestereday.

Nothing going on today. Rest day. Back to the gym tomorrow. This weeks starts "hell month" which is what how I feel about the holiday season. People eating, drinking too much and spending too much cash on utter crap. Bring on January 2nd 2006. Think I'm a "scrooge"? Sure, but I don't care.

Later. Gotta hydrate. Drank a few beers tonight and now my fingers feel like turkey sausages.

Saturday: Single Track and Product Review

Headed to Boyce to ride some single track. Took my Titus HCR with the Maxxis Ignitors on. Only rode for 1:20 or so but dammmmmn it felt nice to be outside. Traction was a bit slick in the corners with a layer of leaves on top, followed by a thin layer of oily mud then dirt. It was still some sweaty-ball fun. On a day like today you just get a gut feeling that this is one of the last of the good ride days. With T-Giving coming then that other holiday in December that depresses me. These days will be few and far between. So say "balls" to the Stair Master and get you dupa outside.

PRODUCT REVIEW: GATORADE ENDURANCE FORMULA

gatorade

I've been too lazy (or broke) lately to pick up some more Heed from Hammer so I've been using the last of some Accelerade I have. It's not bad but I forgot to pack some for the gym before I left for work Friday a.m. So while I was at Target at lunch they had Gatorade Endurance on sale for 99ยข. So I said what the F and picked up a bottle. How bad could it be?

In a word BAD. It tastes like sweetened cough syrup. Coating the mouth with thick mucus that gags and needs to be spit out. I needed to "cut it" with water to make it drinkable thus lessening the amount of electrolytes and carbs getting to my muscles. I used it again on today's mountain bike ride just to confirm that it's that bad... and it is. I found myself not wanting to even drink it on the ride. NOT what you want from your fuel beverage. Save your money buy Hammer Heed, Accelerade or Powerbar's drinks. Scored on a 1 to 5 basis this is a 1.

Gotta split. Top Jimmy and his fam are coming over to visit and watch MSU vs. PSU.

Ho Hum Friday

Friday was nothing to write home about, or I should say really blog about. Got my workout at the gym in, came home, fired up some mexican de la Jason and enjoyed a few beers from an Erie Brewing seasonal mix pack that Wifey got me. Good stuff.

Trying to decide whether to go to the gym for extended Stair Master or mountain bike at Boyce. It's only like 30 degrees right now, but beautiful out. I'd hate to waste the day inside. It will be a game time decision.

Free Window Thursday

Day off from work today. The window guys came and installed 10 replacement windows and a front storm door. They were out of here by noon which was nice. I spent the a.m. in the basement cleaning up my Titus, getting Wifey's bike ready for her to use on the trainer, and sitting in a camp chair drinking coffee and watching the 2004 Montezuma's Revenge. Better than work.

I was going to workout but figured if I did I would end up with 6 days in a row of working out and figured I better rest so as not to end up sick. So I relaxed today and I'll hit the gym tomorrow night.

Friday night gym nights and are good and bad. The good is that there's hardly anyone at all there. The bad is staying motivated all day to go, while all your coworkers are asking you to happy hour. Hmmm beer or gym? Beer or pain?.... I'm sure I'll be going with the gym, THEN having a couple of pints in the evening with Wifey after B-Man goes to sleep. I just have to tell myself that this will all pay off come race season.

B-Man is visiting with Poppy-O tonight and Wifey is out slinging knowledge, so I'm gonna cook up some J-Man oven 'taters, some burgs on the George and sit back and watch Off Road To Athens for about the 10th time. Tomac ruled.

Whoooaaa It's Chili

Cold temps are on the way. Lows in the 20s tonight. Good thing I fired up the stove for some of my Special W.T. Chili. Mmmmm. That warms up the belly.

Got another good workout in at the gym tonight. I can not BELIEVE the amount of sweat I put out when I'm on the stair master. It's kinda embarrassing sometimes.

Off from work tomorrow. Window people coming to install the 10 windows that JoErin won. Sweet. Hope they get in and get the hell out some I can have some play time. Play time being either riding the trainer or heading to the gym for some extended stair master.

Foud out today I got some sponsorship hook up from 661. I've used a variety of their full fingered gloves in the past and dig the comfort. I had some durability issues with my most recent pair, but from the looks the palm construction on the 2006 line, it looks like that may be solved. Check 'em out if you get a chance. I'd like to try out their cold weather gloves this winter and coming spring.

That's it. Gotta go snuggle. It's freaking COLLLLLD!

P.S. D.K. your better bring your "Gay-man-turtle-neck" next week when you and Double-K come up from F.L.A.. HA!!!!!

She Wore A Rose On Her Thigh...

So I realized I've been doing a total image block all day. Last night when I was on the Stair Master, stepping along starring off into space while listening to "iPodious", a woman roughly 65 years old gets on the strength machine in front of me. She's sporting that rough and weathered old lady skin that looks like it's too big for her body and the same color as that old catcher's mit in the basement. She sits on the machine, the shorts hike up and reveal a flower tattoo on her upper thigh. To borrow a line from Dodgeball; I think I threw up a little in my mouth. Total image block ALL day. I just now let my freaked out mind process it. Props to her for working it "Silver Sneaker" style. But damn. I did NOT need to see that tattoo. I have knick-named her "Rose" and will be keeping an eye for her so as to avoid visual contact with the rose. I'll keep you posted. (Like you CARE!!!??).

Did an hour spin tonight on the trainer. Nothing hard core. Just steady spinning at 90 to 110 rpm in various easy gears.

Shop 'n Save has entered Day 3 of the great whole wheat pasta shortage (as I now call it) I've been forced to eat regular old white pasta (Gasp!). The shelf is empty, order more. Is it that f*cking hard???

That's all I got. Sorry.

Monday: F. (But at least it's over)

Monday already? F-Bomb.

Work went quickly (thank God) and Then it was off to the gym for the start of week #3 of strength training. I'm still in the AA phase and I'm starting to notice the weight I started with getting easier. I'm anxious to enter the next phase of training but I'm gonna just ride out the 4 weeks of the AA phase.

Started the night with 30 minutes on the Stair Master, did my weights and then finished with 10 minutes on S.M. and some crunches on the ball.

Most likely going to do an easy spin session for an hour tomorrow.

Watched the lastet Rome tonight. Damn it was bloody. Titus was slicing and dicing. Jeez!

Sunday, Sunday,...

Day off from training today. Hung with the family, did some grocery shopping and now I'm having a couple frosty ones to say farewell to the weekend. The" Stillers" play tonight but I could really give two shakes of a sheep's go-nad. Especially when THIS is on.

Anxious to get back to the gym tomorrow and start Week #3.

Hope to head over to Pittsburgh Pro Bikes to pick up some patch kits. I must have 10 tubes that need patched.

Sorry for the boring Sunday post. Time to go make some broccoli/garlic olive oil pasta.

C'mon Get Happy! Blah, Blah. Blah... F!

So I hit the trail on the Titus HCR this a.m. The weather was crisp but warm enought for just arm warmers and knee warmers. I felt strong and only planned on doing about 1:20 or so. I was having a great ride. It was one of those rides were you swear you can hear some feel-good mushy Partridge Family song in your head. I big ringed it down through the open field trail into the woods, up over the log pile and a few yards later... SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSCCCCCCCCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRREEEEACH!

I thought I busted a spoke or rear derailleur, ah no. Of all things I SOMEHOW managed to jack up pad placement holder in my Hope Mono Minis.

bentpadpin
What the F?

Hey at least I got 50 minutes in. Put me over the my time for the week. I was dissapointed since I could in no way enjoy the rest of my ride with only a front brake. So I aborted and headed for the Subaru.

Came home and X-Trained by Mowing grass, takin the AC out of the window, and doing some clothes washing etc., Now it's time for some frosty beverages. Wifey bought a Sam Adams winter mix pack. I'm kinda against Sam. I just don't think it's that good, but there are a couple good ones in the mix so it'll be good. The Winter Lager is real good.

That's about it. Sunday is a rest day with me and the B-Man heading out to Pap-M's house.

Brownish-Purple Pasta Night

Week #2 ends, or at least the hard part of week #2. Saturday will be some time on the bike out in the crisp fall air having a good time.

Bib-Boobed-Bad-Sports-Bra girl was at the gym again tonight. Thankfully this time NOT running on the treadmill. Wifey calls the type of bra the chick wear the "uni-boob" sports bra. I first spotted her on Wednesday when I was on the calf raise machine. I almost started laughing and did the entire set with a shit-eating grin try NOT to look at her 2 breast bouncing like freaking beach balls. Made ME hurt and I don't even HAVE breasts.

Even I, Master of Nutritious White Trash Cuisine make some mistakes now and again. Do NOT mix lean ground beef, onions, garlic chopped spinach, sauce and whole wheat pasta. It tastes GREAT, BUT looks like shit. Green + red + green + brown = a purlish brown plate of pasta that just happens to taste great and look like vomit. Sausage worked I though beef would. Ahh no.

Downloaded the Bloc Party's "Silent Alarm-Remixed" album today.

blocparty

Good stuff. I like the regular CD but this is more my cup o' tea. Remixes by Ladytron, M83, Mogwai. Artsy-fartsy electronic noise with some ass thump. I dig it and my legs were diggin it on the Stair Master.

"Play it cool boy....."

Hope you all get some miles in this weekend.

Thursday's Nut Number

Spent an hour on the trainer tonight. Felt real good to be pushing pedals. I hadn't been on the bike since last Saturday. Nothing hard core tonight, just spinning in my 39.

Back to the gym tomorrow for Week 2's final night then I hope to get out and enjoy a nice ride on Saturday.

Time to go get my food on. Here's a tip. I LOVE broccoli, but steaming is such a chore sometime, so I do this. Clean, chop, put on plate, nuke it for about min. Check it, nuke it more if needed. No too long or it'll get all limp and lose it's nutrition.

Da Bootz.

Prison Bitch Wednesday

Another sweet workout tonight. My now norm 40 min. Stair Master warm up followed by strength training. Funny I NEVER thought I would enjoy going to a gym, but with knowing its purpose and having a plan I actually look forward to it all day. Not as much as a riding for sure, but I dig it. Plus I get a kick out of "people watching" while I'm suffering on the Stair Master. This is what I've seen so far:

1. Muscle Heads (arms as big as my quads)
2. Pretty Boys/Girls (Only there to look good and be seen)
3. Fitness Chicks (hard cores and Do NOT fuck with 'em)
4. The "No Resulters" (how is it possible to read a magazine while doing a workout?)
5. The Silver Sneakers (Silver Foxes and Gray Panthers getting it done)
6. This is my latest: Prison Lifters (tonight it was dude in big jeans, work boots, t-shirt covered in tattoos lifting some mad amounts of weight. Do NOT make eye contact unless you want a shiv in your back or be his prison bitch)
7. Me. Silly bike tan, shaved legs, low-weight lifting-high rep doin', cardio sweat machine with one eye on my iPod and the other on the chick using the inner thigh machine, all while trying to keep from falling off the machine and making a bigger ass of myself.

Hope to spin on the trainer tomorrow so as to remind my legs of their real purpose.

Tuesday: You Give Me Nothing.

No workout today. Off night to hang with the B-Man. Coloring choo-choos, watching choo-choos and reading about choo-choos. B. was super laid back tonight, after bath time he just watched some choo-choos on tv while I experiemented in the kitchen.

This is what I came up with...
I made some meatballs using 1/2 lb. ground turkey, chopped spinach, garlic, oregano, kosher salt, and an egg white. Then baked them at 375 for about 25-30 minutes. Then I stir fried some red/green peppers then added some spag. sauce and about 10oz. of whole wheat pasta. Mmmmm. Wifey was impressed.

Speaking of Wifey. She just recently posted to the Chamois. She checks up on the blog every so often, I think just to make sure I'm Blogging and not chatting online with babes all night (-Kip). Or making too big an ass of myself.

I'll be doing my best R. Simmons at the Gym tomorrow.

richard-simmons-sirius-satellite-radio

I thought it would be funny to do my work out in little satin "Hooters" shorts, a tank top and some leg warmers. Actually that just might get me beat up in the locker room, or picked up by a man. Either way it's all bad.

Seriously, back to the gym tomorrow for S. Master and weights.

Vicar In A Tu Tu (It's Freaking Monday/Week 2!)

Back to work today slinging auto ads. No big deal. Off to the gym after work and 40 minutes on the Stair Master sweating like a dog to get rid of Saturday's Luciano's Pizza calories. Yikes! Then on to my strength workout which I'm getting down pretty well. Clocked in just under 1:40 for the session.

Tonight's iPod mix included pasty-ass rump shakers from Beck, LCD Sound System, Daft Punk and Chemical Brothers. It was like a rave with weight machines.
Gotta split. I got chicken in the oven and I'm doing a 911 rescue on JoErin's Mac 'n Cheese.

A Cook She Ain't... But She's Something

So Wifey has some friends over for lunch Sunday afternoon while me and B-Man are out at Papa-M's house visiting. The plan was for her to make a homemade mac 'n cheese from the White Grass cookbook. She is by no means a cook, and admits as much. So I bought her the ingredients when I was at the store Saturday and wished her luck when I left this a.m.

Fast forward to 5 p.m. today. I get home and ask her how it turned out. "Not very good, real bland". "Did you add some salt?" I asked. "No. I followed the directions and it sucked". OK, no big deal. Too bad.

Fast forward to 6:30 p.m. I'm making some Turkey Sausage/Spinach/Garlic/Olive Oil/Pasta bake and have my oven preheating. I start to smell smoke and see it billowing from the oven door. Then the fire alarm starts going off and I have to open windows, flap towels etc. I open the door and see that something is stuck all over the oven. I ask her "What the f@ck is all over the oven??" "Oh the cheese and milk overflowed when I was baking lunch". NIIIIIIIIICE!
She said she was embarrassed to tell me earlier. Eeeesh, a warning would have be nice though.

But after telling her to stop and get some oven cleaner tomorrow and forbid her to EVER attempt to cook again, all was well. And I can't be mad 'cause she's "the most". Plus yesterday she volunteered to take the Subaru to get new tires on so I could take advantage of the weather and get a ride in. That's super cool. She also puts up with my training, riding and racing schedules, and manic bike obsession. Not to mention my sheer lack of intelligence. Thanks babe. For everything.

Later.

p.s. How is it SHE gums up MY oven and I end up all gushy about her. Must be the crime fighting. It just HAS to be.

Lucianos... How I Love Thee...

Sweet temps in the mid 60s today so I headed out for some outdoor mileage. Got a sweet 30 mile ride in a nice tempo. Legs were feeling this effect of week 1's strength training/stair master blitz. Steady, gusty cross-winds make the work out just a tad tougher but it was sweet to be getting in some outside miles in November.

Not much going on this evening. I went total glutten and ate roughly 10 pieces of pizza tonight. Looks like I'll be upping the time on the Stair Master on Monday. F!

Jeezus, I LOVE Luciano's Pizza. If ever in White Oak, you must have.

You Dig? I Dig!

Nice workout at the gym tonight sporting my new Asics running shoes. Sweet. So cush. I dig.
The place was empty tonight. I suppose most people don't like going on Friday night.

Really got my workout down tonight. Sometimes I'm like a kid in a candy store.. "Butt Blaster?? My butt could use blasting!!! Let's go!!!" I narrowed down the exericises I NEED for performance and nothing else.

Cardio wise, I love when you can crank the speed on the Stair Master way up and get a nice rythm going. It's just like out of the saddle climbing. I sweat like a freking freak on that thing too. Jeeeezus!!!

Saw another dude working out in jeans tonight. Yikes! This dude was just scary. Looked like a loon.

Hope to get out on the road bike tomorrow for a nice fall ride. Need to get tires on the Subaru too. Yikes! I think I can see the tire threads.

Thurs. Off Day

Not much going on today. No workout planned. B-Man and I spent the night over at Tom's briefly while he hooked me up with a new spoke for my rear wheel on Titus. Not sure how I busted it, since I've been mostly just cruising the bike path with it. Figure I must have tweeked it at Boyce a few weeks ago and then the long miles just fatigued it. Oh well, it's all good now.

Work flew by again today. Nice to be busy and be making some bonus jing to boot. Feel bad for bitching about it as much as I did.

Back to the gym tomorrow night for the final day of weights for week 1. Looking forward to some bike time on Saturday. Road or dirt? THAT is the question.

Might buy new sneakers tomorrow. My current ones are shot.

Week is flying buy. Work is busy and even though I'm not crazy about working on automotive ads, the days are flying.

Hit the gym tonight. 30 minute warm up on the Master of Stairs then hit the weights. I feel like some kind of a chick. All these guys doing these huge amounts of weight. I set the mahine, start, then have to lighten it up. Yikes. Another few weeks then I can start increasing the load. But for now it's kinda pathetic.

I was more sore this morning than yesterday morning. Having trouble straightening my arms they are so sore. Loosend up during the workout though.

Question 1: Who chooses to workout in jeans? I mean at least they're doing something, but that HAS to be uncomfortable. Enter one set of chaffed thighs.

Question 2: While on the Stair Master, is it wrong to pretend you're looking at the TV but in reality you're watching the chick right in front of you work out on the "Butt Blaster". Jeeeezus! I'm gonna get tossed out for being a perv. Guess it's wrong.

Found a good article on VeloNews about keeping your immune system up during the winter. Learn it. Know it. Live it. Or something like that, that Mr. Hand used to say.

Going to bed. Tonight was "Chili Night". So I'll be stoking the fires underneath the sheets. Sorry Wifey. HA.

Later.

Later.

Shake What Yo Mama Gave Ya

Woke up sore this morning from yesterdays 1st day of strength training. Not too bad though. Pretty happy overall. Much work to do though, including not looking like an idiot around the weight machines at 'da club.

Did an hour on my trainer tonight to loosen my legs and maintain my feel for the bike.

Did you see we cleaned up at the Pan Am Games?

Maxxis has updated their website with some kick ass rubber. Hope things work out that I can have the opportunity to use their tires again in '06. The Ignitor (my fave) is now available in 2.1 size (YES!!) and their seems to be a new tire designed by Christoph Sauser called the CrossMark, both are looking sweet.

Speaking of Maxxis, looks like they signed "Little Mig". Cool.

That's it. TIme for bed.

Later.
