Mushroom Chamois

Rain once again is taking up residence in the WPA area. The mushrooms have returned to my back yard and I think there might be some growing in my chamois as well after tonight's soaking out on the road.

Wasn't sure I was gonna get any time in tonight since storms were all around. Given the weather I drove to an alternate start for the ride, thus avoiding some of the higher traffic roads. I barely trust cars when it's dry out, let alone when it's dark and rainy.

Only rode for about 1:20, but it beat sitting on the trainer for the same time. Since the ride was short I tried to really push the tempo in and TTed it in 3 different 2 mile+ areas. It was a deeeep burrrrn. Got soaked by a steady rain for about 30 minutes and then got to enjoy a nice "rooster tail" enema for the rest of the ride.
Actually the rain really wasn't that bad since it was dog pee warm.

9 years ago today Wifey and I got hitched. How'd we celebrate? In the past we've gone out to eat, had some wine or beers, hiked in Crested Butte and fought crime. Tonight I rode in the rain, she worked some overtime and then hung out with B-Man who was a bit under the weather. Then when I got home we watched some of the Tour, ate some pasta, and worried about a doctors appointment she has tomorrow. Can't say it was one of our best anniversaries but it's all part of the marriage train and I'm happy she's put up with me thus far.
