Lactate is Locate is Lactic

Short but fun road ride tonight, did a 24 mile spin in about 1:20 on a nice, crisp fall-like evening. Legs have been feeling nice and spanky.

I've also seemed to find "position bliss" in my road bike. Saddle height, for/aft, tilt, stem, everything is spot on and I feel uber comfy on it right now. Only took 3 years of experimenting.

I keep seeing the the word LOCATE spray painted on the road around here. I think it's from the gas or water company. Every time I pass one I for some reason (breast fetish?) think it says "LACTATE" which THEN makes me think of LACTIC as in ACID as in "damn my quads are burning". Issues. Deep, dark, issues.

The above was song lyric that Morrissey wrote pretty much summed up my academic life. Hated school, didn't pay attention, and nearly flunked. I was too busy listening to sad bastard music and drawing.

Somehow I graduated high school and went to Art School since no college would have taken a someone such as myself. All of that (except the sad bastard music, I still dig that) was a mistake, Art School, gave me the chance to get a real job, but heaven knows I'm mise.... yada, yada, yada, get to the point Jason!!

I made it to college! Grad School to boot! In the form of a thesis that talks about bike blogs and how they can help and affect sponsors etc. It's called "Cycling Blogs Pimp The Sponsors" by Liz Schleeper. Check out her blog to read it or click HERE. My good blog friend and Twin-Six step teammate FatMarc is also included, as well as two other bloggers.

I've long looked to blogs such as Kerkove's, and SoloGoat's for the low down on products and like to do the same with my own blog, but 'till I put up their kind of results most may just think I'm just a big bike-blog nerd with an opinion. Which I guess I am.

Thanks for including me and finally getting me to college Liz! I give it an A!

Later.
