No te divertes con pappy! He Can't Help It!

Been taking it pretty easy this week in the saddle, just one hour on the trainer since my ride filled weekend. I was back tonight though, and if felt damn good to feel the saddle pressed against the chamoised twig & berries again.

Due to shorter days (F!) I did a slightly shorter variation of my normal post work loop. Cut out a couple longer climbs that cut into the time by driving up the road from my normal launching pad and starting from a school parking lot. Legs felt good and ended up with a fast 26.5 miles in 1:29.

Still playing next week's racing by ear. There's the 12 Hour Race down at Big Bear, WV but if it's gonna be a slog fest I won't be going. At this time of the season money for mud and crud ruined parts is at a minimum.

The Month of Mud Series starts on Sunday, the 24th too, with a MTB time trial at Bavington, so that's a thought too. Throw down in the Expert Vet cat.

The M.O.M. schedule looks like this:
• Sept. 24: Bavington, MTB Time Trial
• Oct. 1: Grove City, Cyclocross Course
• Oct. 8: Brady's Run , MTB XC
• Oct. 15: Mammoth Park, Cyclocross Course
• Oct. 29: Seven Springs, MTB XC

Soon my Large Salsa El Santo will be going up for soon. Still not sure if I'm just gonna sell the frame, fork and wheels or the whole damn thing. Have to wait and see. It's a sweet bike, I'm just too smitten with the 29ers and if I get 2nd bike it will be another 29er. So if anyone's looking for a sweet FS bike used less than a year, drop me an e-mail (click on my profile for that).

Later.

I am from NE Ohio. I went to Youngstown State University. Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, Bobcat Lodge, Moraine State Park......I learned how not to ride up in those parts.
