Pretty Good For Being Bad

I wouldn't call this weekend one of my best, but it was still damn good. KoKo and Double-K were up from Florida and some great news- they're expecting a little KoKo. Sweet! Fasten your seat belt dude.

No bike time this weekend except for yesterday's time on the trainer. Hope to get some Dos Niner saddle time tomorrow.

Stopped at Tom's to get the crank pulled off the El Santo and the head set removed. Tom bought my Fox 100RLT and XT/Mavic wheel set too, so now all I have to do is sell El Santo and wait for spring. Wow, that's gonna be a long wait.

Anyone running DT 240 hubs? Good, bad, horrible? The stats look good and I know in general their stuff has a good rep, but I wanna check 'em out. Thanks.

Beer of The Weekend: Wild Goose Amber Ale. Damn! It tastes like a smooth Belgium. I was shocked at how good it was. Yum-o

Later.

thumbs up on hugi dt swiss 240's.
Got two pair of wheels that have seen lots of abuse in the past 3 years and have had zero problems...can't say the same for my high maintenance mavic hubs.

Thanks andy. trying to weigh the options. They're pretty $ to save a few grams over XTs. Who knows.

I've heard good things. Big Dave Wilson (old dude Expert ST Champ) was thinking about running a set this next year. He's one of the few guys I know who had to true his CrossMaxes after every ride, so if they're good enough to put up with his abuse, I imagine they're good enough for just about any XC riding.

You might check the Hope Pro II hubs, the rear is great. That's what I'm running on my 29'er with an old-style AmClassic up front. So far a very solid setup and crazy light when paired with Stan's rims.
