Local Sugar
I usually don't like to post twice in a day, but not working this week has my mind doing double time. That and the fact that 4 p.m. SEEMED like the perfect time to make up a double espresso.
I just discovered a custom cycling cap maker, right here in Pittsburgh called Spoke Punchers. I'm a HUGE fan of cycling caps and of cool design. Spoke Punchers have put the two together by making hand dyed and printed caps.
Check out the site for examples of some sweet caps. My wheels are already turning on what I can have her conjure up for me. Hmmm. To match my team kit? My blog? My T6 Gear? Or something to make my mud encrusted eyes pop? (HA!)I also learned recently that some über cool cycling/designer friends of mine (in conjunction with a local artisan friend of theirs in the upper mid west) have some sweet cap stuff up their well designed jersey sleeves. Look for one on my noggin in the early spring.
Love to see folks out there melding passions together for the sake of the ride. How do you do it? Blog? Photos? Jewelry? Writing? Painting? Music? All of the above? Weigh in, I'd love to know. One thing I've noticed over the years is the HUGE amount of racers and riders (myself included) that are in SOME aspect of the design, art or music world.
Later.
