Maybe Jasper Does The Astro

Finished off my 4th day in a row of working out tonight. I was way less than thrilled to climb on board the trainer again, but once I got on and got warmed up, it got better.

I watched an old OLN (now Versus) video of the Montezuma's Revenge Race and iPodious was cranking out a live White Stripes that I obtained not long ago. I was doing some 5 minute tempo pyramid intervals mixed in with some short bursts. Staying focused on the minutes, my form and heart rate.

But then....

But THEN I hit tracks 16. Let's Build A Home/Going Back To Memphis and 17. Astro/Jack The Ripper. And HOLY PETE, I felt freaking rage! It was great! I swear i went from 135ish BPM to 170 and my RPMs went from 90 to 105+. Structure was out the window and I just let my legs fly along 'till things chilled a bit. Ah the power of music.

Be warned. If you download those tracks you WILL lose control during workout. You WILL break into a full on sprint. If in the gym, you WILL push the muscle headed guy on the machine next to you onto the floor and start screaming "MAYBE JASPER DOES THE ASTRO!!" in his face. THEN you WILL get your ass kicked while he screams "WHATS' YOUR PROBLEM YOU SHAVED LEGGED MOTHER F*CKER?!"

Also, a little F.Y.I.- The second half of track 16 "Going Back To Memphis" is a cover of song by the Soledad Brothers. I've seen them live twice, not on purpose. One time they opened for the White Stripes (and were good) the 2nd time they opened for Spiritualized and kinda sucked. Oh well.
