Steeeeeeped In Ennui....
I felt steeped in a bed of ennui today. A planned rest day from the bike, but with no other real plans I was bored as shit. It was like being at work. I just long for the day's end and sleep.
Y-Nizzle invited me and the fam to a M.Day picnic at his crib, but Wifey had some previous plans and I didn't feel like flying solo so I just sulked around the house most of the day day like bored little kid.
I did get to chat with Tom on the phone and that's always nice. He was giving me the low down on his roll in supporting Holly down in Conyers. I know from experience, when Tom's in charge of the pit, shit runs smoooooth! All you have to do is ride. In someways support sounds tougher than doing the race. Well, almost.
Heading over to his house tomorrow for some bike prep stuff. Alway nice to go into a race knowing that your bike has been looked over by one of the best.
A couple times today I almost just said screw it, I'm riding! But the heat of the weekend kinda zapped me and with the Mohican 100 coming up, I know it's best to rest, and get the legs spanky.
The only other real highlight today was tracking down the full audio of the White Stripes DVD "Under Blackpool Lights". Good stuff.
Later. Time to go do SOMEthing.

Love the site I check it out daily. I'm a new rider hoping to do some racing next year. Any tips or advice on training.
That's about how my day went too. Tapering doesn't help either. I have so much extra energy. I walked the dog like 4 times.
Brando,
Yikes, I might be the wrong person to ask for tips ;)
Ride your bike, push yourself, and have fun doing it. Also helps to read up on nutrition, and training. Experiment and find what works for you.
R.B.,
Correct, this week is gonna be hard. Your dog will be in fine shap though.
