Return Of The King

Wow, for a day off from work I sure worked hard! Cleaning, laundry, new sneakers for the Soob, grocery shopping, mowed the lawn, and cleaned the Dos Niner.It STILL beat going to work!

Feeling much better mentally and physically, but I'm still not gonna push the bod to race tomorrow the Big Bear Ultra. I wish I was racing, but I think it's best just to get some casual riding in and maybe end the season with Iron Cross in October. Who knows?

Tomorrow's plan is to hit Boyce with Yancy and his new '08 Cannondale F-29. Should be fun.

I also picked some sweet bevy today too.....
Victory Brewing Storm Kiing Imperial Stout is a HUGE beer. This beer will hand you your balls in a sling if you don't respect it, so BEWARE!!! At 9.1% this is no Bud. This is sipping beer to say "welcome fall" and leave you cocky enough to give an advanced double middle finger to the coming winter. Just keep it to 2 or so or you'll make an ass of yourself and not enjoy a fine beer.

Speaking of beer and nothing bike related what-so-ever. Fond farewell to Michael Jackson (NO not the no talent ass munch Michael Jackson) THEEEEE Michale Jackson... "The Beer Hunter". I own at least two books by the man and have read countless articles by him. He died on August 30th. Lift a pint to a man who dropped a TON of beer knowledge on the world and helped millions, myself included, to respect beer and to realize that after college there really is NO NEED to drink bad beer. Someone offers you a Coors Light or a glass of water. Go with the water. It will taste the same, be better for you and leave you with an ounce of self respect in the morning.

That's about it. Made up some Spinach/Turkey Meat Balls and Pasta for dinner tonight. Time to go enjoy that and hand with my unit (Wifey & B-Man)
