1:05 Of A Good Monday

Monday is Monday. It will suck hard in the a.m. and feel good when it's over. But Monday feels all the better when the end of the work day brings time in the dirt. Even if I only had time for a quick 10.5/1:05 ride, it was still damn fun.

With only a little over and hour to ride, I can't futz around. I've really been putting the hammer down so as to burn max calories and make the most of my time. It was pretty much "go time" from the time I hit the single track. Of course being in a public park there is the occasional dog walker to brake for, or helmetless rider to dodge. So it's not completely ballz out, but I do what I can.

I think these rides have been really good for me. I hope to incorporate more rides like this into my weeks in 2008. I spend way too much time pissing around in the SAME zone week in and week out. In other words "Zone 3 Syndrome". Anyway, that's all in the future. For now it's just about burning calories and being outside enjoying fall's last days of warmth and sunshine.

I came home to find a little package of T6 love from MPLS. I can't think of anything cooler to come home to after a ride. OK, maybe topless college girls, circling my living room astride a fleet of Salsa 29ers, handing me micro brews, offering to clean my bike amidst of a flurry of giggles and soap suds would have been cooler. BBBBUT I'll more than settle for T6 gear, B-Man watching cartoons, and Wifey wearing pjs and fuzzy red socks.
