Rock Hard Caramel Thursday

Futzed around on the trainer and with some weights/core suff tonight for an hour. Again, not doing anything too major. I just feel better when I'm at least a LITTLE active and this gives me a chance to burn a couple calories, and feel out my Prep Phase plans. I also got to listen to an awesome boot that I acquired of Monday's Moz show at NY's Hammerstein Ballroom. I love the Internet!

Sent in my info for my Night Riding Permit for Pleasant Valley Park. Should be good to go in few days. I better get a fresh charge on the lights. Not to be greedy, but I'd like to see the weather stay reasonable for another month or so. At LEAST dry. I can put up with a little bit of cold, but once the witch bares her teet, I'm done.

Does anyone know or heard any info on where 24 Hours Solo Nationals are being held this year? Is it in Wisconsin again or somewhere new? I hope it's someone sorta central. Not that I'm thinking of doing it (although I would never rule it out), but I think it blows for racers when Nationals are set on one coast or another.

Check this pict out from my place of work. Seems there was a bit of trash talk about some caramel chews...

What did she expect from caramel cream candy bought for 75¢ out of a vending machine??? To leave a note, and then WHO is responding?? And then WHY is she responding back?? Better yet WHY the f*ck am I in the lunch room taking pictures of it to put on my blog about bike racing? Enter 3 people with nothing better to do.

Thanks to Travis who commented on Tuesday's post. Travis did some research (OK, he used Google) and apparently I was right and according to Google I AM the first person to have uttered the phrase "what's life without beans?" From now on, I will have to ask that it be "What's Life Without Beans?"® Thank you.

No ride/workout tomorrow. It's Friday people! Weather's been like a wet dish rag on a basement floor the past couple days and does not look to improve in the next 48. Hope the weekend will cooperate for some saddle time.

Salsa Chili Con Crosso Update: Confirmed- 2008's do indeed come with fork. Check out this MTBR.com thread for info on the '08 as well as info on how to score a more affordable deal on the CX20 fork if you're a 2007 CCC owner.

Later.
