Cap It Off. Hats Off to Walz (pun intended. I think)

Just an update on all my cap talk yesterday.

I've decided that the plaid Walz Cap just NEEDS to be for my late fall winter riding. My justifications? First, Jennifer at Walz e mailed me back today with a good bit of info. The bill may or may not stay up, BUT the cool factor is pulling me in like a Death Star tractor beam*. That and the fact that she made with some cool customer service talk that basically said if I don't dig it Walz, and don't think I look titz in it they'll take care of me. Right on! That's what I like to hear from a company. Plus, this cap oozes "hipper than thou zen soul ride" not training/race. That stuff will be good enough for a Euro Road Dog Lid or some Olivia Newton-John "Physical" era sweat band.

Off to North Park with 101 Mark tomorrow. My hope is to get the info on a good night riding loop. Speaking of night riding I have some thoughts on a new LED (like you care). I'm still mega interested in the Princeton Tec SB3. Or may just end up status quo with my NR HID.

Later. Time for WHATever.

*The Death Star asterisk is just to say that the DS may or may not have a '"tractor beam" and if it does NOT I'm sure my friend KoKo will let me know.

You are correct, the DS does indeed have a tractor beam.

you should also check out dinottelighting.com

they have some killer led lights and they're very light.

KoKo- I knew you would have my back. The quotes were a bit much though ;)

RR- They make some nice stuff, but for me doing Solos it comes down to brightness vs. burn time. A PTSB3 can burn 6 hours on high. Add another battery for Solos and I got me 12 hours of burn time.

The dinotte'sare very light, but fall behind even the MINewt for brightness.

Princeton is having a demo truck at the 18 hour, so we''l see how they compare to the traditionl HIDs

J.B. Def. check out the Princeton stuff. They are top notch. 6 hour burn time on the SB3 and the light, while maybe not as bright as HID is a better color and pattern.
