I'm Just A Crosshair

So the weekend did not really go how I planned. I had NO outside ride time and some Saturday night plans were derailed when a buddy's baby got sick (Get better Izzy!). BUT I did get some quality indoor riding in (oxymoron?) both Saturday and this morning and had some quality time with B-Man and Wifey.

Wifey had B-Man an the REI climbing wall yesterday! Little guy made it up about 5.5 feet before he got a bit scared. Dude was in the harness, climbing shoes and all. Not bad for 3.5 years old! I can't wait to go back and see him try for 6 feet. I'm not sure that I would even be comfy climbing 5.5 feet! ;)

In hindsight I probably could have gotten my road ride in today and not got THAT cold and wet, but I'm not gonna dwell on that. I feel good about my indoor workouts for the weekend. I tried to up the tempo and HR a bit today since I was missing a "real" ride and wanted my legs to feel it just a little bit. In the end I think it worked out OK. The legs were burning, I was sweating like a damn fool and enjoyed an hour live BBC recorded Franz Ferdinand circa 2005. TAKE ME OUT!!

Time to chill, eat some left overs and get ready for another week of dross.

Later.

That's really great about your son at REI. I really wanna climb that wall and maybe do some climbing in general. I'm sure my fear of heights will douse that ambition real quick though. Hook me up with E-Music.

It's not the height. It's the falling for me. :)
