Joker Faces, Lights, & Sonic Screams
Another Monday slinging auto ads. The highlight of my work day was a typo I made (that got caught by the sales rep, thank God!) where I put "tit" instead of "tilt". Yeah, that would have been bad. (Includes: PW, PL, Tit, A/C an More!) I hope it was in no way a Freudian Slip on my part from being the only man in an all female department. Just glad it got caught before it went to print. Yikes!
Once home I rode the trainer for 1:30. After a gradual warm up, I worked in some seated "power" intervals. 1 Min "on", 1 Min. "off" for 40 minutes. So for 20 minutes I got to make this face...
Legs burned, silly faces were made, sweat was plentiful, yada, yada, yada. The above image was used for my comic book loving friend Marc. :)_________________________________________________________________
Talked with JK @ PT about my SB3 today. The should be in the W.O. soon. along with an Apex head lamp that I'm going to use as a secondary/back up light. Anxious to get some miles in with the lights.

Turns out I'm wrong. Her name is Black Canary. She has a "high powered sonic scream". I bet she does! B-Man seems smitten with her, and I've taken to keeping her on my night stand "just in case". They could have done SOMETHING to make her look just a LITTLE more like a super hero. Eeesh.

Man every time I read about your line of work I can’t help but think of some great car ad quotes from the 90’s movie “Crazy People.” Concerning your incident today maybe you should try some of these beauties out. “Jaguar-Sleek & Smart. For men who would like handjobs from beautiful women they hardly know.” “You Can’t have sex w/a Saab. It’s unnatural and you might get hurt.” “Porche, it’s a little too small to get laid in but, you get laid the minute you get out.” “Volvos, they’re boxy but good.” If you’ve never seen the movie, rent it next tie you need a good flick.
I've seen that. And believe my I've tried using some similar lines. :)
So how are you going to mount the Apex on your helmet?
Squidbuzz- Unsure about mounting right now. Once I have it and can play with where I want it (helmet or bars) I'll be able to tell. I've see a number of folks with them mounted on the helmet, so it shouldn't be a major issue. I'll post something when I do. Thanks.
actually, you should be able to use the straps pretty effectively to mount the light to your helmet, if i'm not mistaken. the central rib strap will simply run down the center of the helmet. you'll likely need to let the straps out all the way to make it work, but i'd be curious to see if it does work for you. i used to handle PR for streamlight, and i've used one of their headlamps (that uses a similar strap) on my helmet successfully.
and b-man's new superhero... i mean "super hooker" looks pretty superhero to me... just not in a "i'm gonna' kick your ass" sort of way. it's more like "i'm gonna' bite your junk if you don't ride me like a gimp!"
oh, you mean her name isn't "super hooker?" whoops. she still has the super sonic scream though, so you know the cats that designed her knew what was up... man, they're startin' 'em young these days. my batman toys didn't have hot chicks with super sonic screams... these kids these days got it waaaaay too good.
gettin' antsy to ride the manitou, so i think i'm going to slap it on the front of my el mariachi... i'm still waiting on a wheel and bar/stem for the dos, so i'm not sure when that thing is going to become an actual complete bike. look for a ride review on my blog after the weekend though.
