Snow, Ice, Rain, Core & "Cheescake"

Today was one of those days that was just a kick in the nuts from the get go. Snow overnight made for some tricky commuting to work. Once at work it was "go time" from the time I walked in the door so I could get an insert to Production ASAP. It was so shitty out I was pretty much office bound during my lunch hour "me time", and could do nothing but watch Ma Nature's Storm of Fecalness come down as I tried to ignore my ever worsening toothache. 'Bout ready to pull it myself "3 Stooges Style".

On the bright side, I got my work done with time to spare, I was able to leave work about a 1/2 hour early and I made it home without smashing the Xa or myself. Let it be known- the Scion Xa is neat car, but an "all weather" vehicle it is not! Made sure Wifey had the Soob, so I was rocking the 12" tires through the snow and ice. Eeesh.

Once home I got an our of tempo riding in on the trainer. Would have like to have done more, but this was my fourth workout day in a row so an hour would do. Plus with the stress of two sloppy ass commutes, a busy day, etc., etc., just being motivated to get ON the f*cking bike was a victory.

Found this website the other day. It's a nice little blog that shows a variety of core workouts or "body weight" workouts. Some I already do but it will be nice to try some new ones.

I leave you with this thought-
Did this shit NEED to be made?????????

As a recovered Foodaholic (fatty!) I can tell you NO ONE is making pies with this stuff. I assure you that this tub is perched atop a million American "tummy trays" as they sit, glued to the TV watching "Idol". File this under "ready to bake cookie dough", double chins, From Undah Cheese, and size 48 pants.

Check these stats (taken from an article on About.com): "
The fat content is staggering. Without the crust, one-eighth of the filling delivers 22 grams of total fat (42 percent of daily value), 13 grams of saturated fat (65 percent of daily value), one gram of trans fats, plus 85mg of cholesterol (28 percent of daily value)."

Yikes!!!
Although I just had an idea for a new Power Gel...

Later.

Funny.I've seen that crap in the store and been tempted. Not to make pie but to do exactly what you said.

We all have our food weakness, mine being Cadbury mini-eggs. Easter and I have a love/hate relationship.
If you're smelling a combination of beer and candy covered chocolate at the Baker's dozen don't worry, you're not hallucinating...It's just me.
