Germs, Getting Pumped, Small World

Another day of fending of the germs at work. I seriously have had it up the here (visualize hand to top of head, please) with people hacking, gagging, sneezing, snorting, coughing, wheezing, sniffling, straining their voices, blowing their noses and generally being ab-sol-ute-ly disgusting germ spreaders!!!!!!! WE GET SICK DAYS!!! TAKE THEM!!! STAY HOME!! Or I WILL take sick days just to stay away from the germs. Damn.

As with yesterday, I'm not sick, but feel "not right". Gonna chill tonight, eat some grub, throw down some Green Tea, and go to bed. This is a "rest week" for the most part, so I figure I'll putz during the week and try to get out and throw down some long hours on Sat. or Sun. Then start gearing up for Leesburg! Woot! Woot!

I got a my recently ordered floor pump from

The Topeak Joe Blow Pro is the titz! It's the freaking Cadillac of floor pumps. I finally had a couple extra pennies, and got sick and tired of my current Specialized floor pump sucking hard. I can finally have a realistic idea of how much psi I've just put in my tires AND be able to read the gauge since it's top mounted (it's hell getting old!") I can't believe I'm this pumped (booo!) about a floor pump! I'm a geek. Sorry.

Got more of a potential forest road/service road ride mapped out today. Made up some PDFs and hope to do some recon on them once I get the Mamasita/Dos Niner back from Tom's. Dirt is calling my name (say my name! SAY IT!!!).

So I'm checking out John D's blog the other day and hit a link to Tim C's blog. I go into Pgh Pro today to chat and to pick up a couple Hammer Gels. They introduce me to their new dude- Tim. I'm driving back to work thinking that Tim looked familiar. Back to John D's blog, back to Tim C's blog and "bingo". Tim C. says he just moved to Pgh. (people move here??) and is working at Pgh. Pro Bikes. Small world.

I have no problem with my Reba, but if you've ever used a Fox.

I dig my Hope/Bontrager wheel set. But I lust another set of high zoot light wheels.
Because I hate to see the "other" bike suffer. There would be NO suffering
with a set of Mavic Crossmax 29er wheels and they beat the Fox in lustfulness.


Then all that forest road ride loop research I've been doing
has me lusting THIS...

The La Cruz is just sooooo sweet. Would be great to make
a bad ass, shit kicking, flat bar monster cross bike with one.

Then again there's the EM Complete and many yet to be ridden/seen
spicy bits of two wheeled goodness coming in the future.

WHY GOD?
WHY DO YOU GIVE ME THIS DESIRE?

Not one of these things would really make me fast or better (not sure too much could). I lust them 'cause they're all pretty friggin' swankeriffic!! And as I said about the bike pump above. I'm a geek.
