Nothingness & Tifosi
Not much going on today. Yesterday's big ass ride put me well into my scheduled hours for the week, so I'm just chillin' today. Surprisingly, my legs feel spanky today and it took a lot to not get out on the road again. MENTAL NOTE: Apparently 2 DFH Raison d'etres, 2 Victory Hop Wallops, a plate of my white trash Mexican food and homemade guacamole is just what my legs need to recover from 4+ hours in the saddle. Sweet!
Had some odd happenings with Tifosi Optics this week. I totally dig my Q3s and recently got a new pair from local Tifosi dealer- Speedgoat.com. Once I got my new glasses, I sent Tifosi my old scratched lenses, warranty info, and CC# to cover the $10 Shipping as instructed by the Tifosi web site. This way I could have them replaced and then have 2 full sets of lenses and frames good to go for race season.
Fast forward about a week....
I get home Friday to see a box from Tifosi. Inside was a the new set of lenses AND new Q3s?? I check the invoice and it says I was charged $25. Odd. Now I have 3 sets of Q3s, and 3 sets of lenses. I'm not complaining (at all!) about getting a whole new pair for only $25, but some folks might be a bit pissed if they THOUGHT they were going to be charged $10, and got charged $25 without authorization.
I will say if I knew I was going to get a whole new pair I would not have spent $55 on new set at Speedgoat. Oh well, I'm stocked up and will be able to have extras in my pit to swap out during races or for when I inevitably lose a pair. So thanks Tifosi (I think).
Another good thing about the Q3s is now that I've switched to the black rimmed glasses I can join a couple of my fave hipster nerds rocking the "nerd chic" look...

You look good in that lineup!
Nice Look
It was the one on the right officer. He's the one that was doing unmentionable things on his bike. I'll never forget those eye's staring at my carbon frame.
