Back From The F.C.
Short post...
Race was cut to 5 hours due to the later start due to yesterday's bad weather. There was a LOT of rocks, a lot of mud, a LOT of climbing and a lot of rocks! Did I say rocks twice? There were 13 in my cat. I finished 7th with 4/11.5 mile laps (46 miles). Felt good about the effort given the skills of the top guys and the course. I sorta maintained my mid pack status with the 7th place. There was to be 14 racers, but some dude didn't start, so that ruined my mid packness! What the freak? Show up dude. Some of us have to try to live up to our mediocrity!
Gotta go get some sleep. over 5 hours of racing, and a 4.5 hour drive. I feel like I got hit by a 2x4 about 50 times.
Full report, etc., tomorrow.
Later.

Way to be consistent! ha! It was cool to meet you there. And it's not surprising that you are worn out - that terrain is punishing there. Who knows, maybe I'll be there as a first timer next year.
Good job man! I had about the same result down here yesterday. Mud and wet roots oh my!
Did you Fox it?
PlumGP
Nice job yesterday man, four laps would have killed me. I know how the body is feeling right now have just my one...how you feeling today?
Dan- Nice to meet you too. Hope to see you out there next year!
Pete- No Fox. It will be on soon. Had to get some part and they just came on Thurs. Would have been nice, but the Reba did well and the 29er just kicks ass on the rocks! Hope your race went well.
Travis- body is not too bad. I think all the driving took more out me than the race. Four laps of muddy chamois has left me with "cheese grater" ass. Yikes!
mmmm rocks! Im trying to figure out if i can time an east coast visit with marysville.
Jason,
Good job - 4 laps is some serious work there. Sorry we didn't catch up there. Nice job!
Pete,
Do it - the stage race at Marysville is a good time. I think they have a marathon again too.
