Better?
I've had better. 31.5 on the road. 2.0 hours and felt great, but sometimes life is a pain in the ass
Later.
Sunday A.M. Edit: My plan for Saturday was a trip to Big Bear to pre ride the 24 hour course. BUT the weather man had other ideas. Storm moved through the area over night and throughout the morning. I got on line to check the weather down in WV (about 1:30 away from here) and there were big blips of red/yellow radar goo all over the Morgantown area. Driving 1:30 to ride in heavy thunderstorms or what the storms left behind was not my idea of a fun Saturday so the trip was aborted. Drat.
I spent the morning hanging with B-Man and watching cartoons. Then Wifey came home from the gym and we put the Thule cargo box for the Soob. Glad to get that job done and out of the way. It should really help free up some room during race travels.
The rains started to let up as the morning went on, so a road ride was looking like a real possibility. Not my first choice but a good second for sure. By the time I got my bottles ready, ass chamoised and the bike prepped the sun was peeping out. Nice.
Temps were warmish and humid. Just the way I like it. My legs felt good and I was happy to salvage some ride time out of a day that was sort of shot to hell. The rest of the day was spent playing outside with B-Man and looking forward to hanging out with Wifey. BUT then as Wifey, B-Man and I were hanging out on the front porch she became a tad ill. Not the first time that I've made a woman sick, and surely not the last. Next thing you know she's in bed and I'm eating a big batch of Mexican by myself and trying to keep B-Man happy.
NOT they way I saw Saturday night shaping up, and I was less than thrilled. But Wifey bounced back this morning, so that's good. The weather for Sunday looks good, but family stuff prevents me from going to Big Bear, so it looks like more time on the road. Frig.
I've had better Saturdays, I've had better rides, but 2 hours on the road is better than nothing. Right?
Later.
