Nada, Zip, Zilch
As the title implies I got nuthin' in ride wise today. I woke up to dark as night skies, heavy to moderate showers, and gusty winds. Great. I was only a little bit depressed about not riding. I would have liked to got out to work the legs for a couple hours, thus allowing me to hit double digits in hours this week, but I had little to no desire to ride in the rain, and may have maxed out my "road love" this week. With 8 hours of riding ALL on pavement, I think I was about done. I like road riding, but too much starts to seems like "work". The trails have to be pretty saturated and probably will be for the next few days given the rains and the forecast.
Since I'm pretty sure my miles will be restricted to the road until Saturday's race, I figured a day of slack will be fine. The rains moved out later today, but my road Mo Jo was gone and I'm resound to just sip some beer, watch some Giro and maybe flip on the Penguins once in a while. No big.
Master Tom figured out what was f'ing with my Reba Race on the Mamasita. It was a bent plastic o-ring in the Pop Loc. The bend was letting the oil out. Tom bent it back to keep the oil in for now, but a new o ring will be needed for me to feel confident about selling it or using it on a bike. Was the O-ring jacked in production? Did over using the lock out do it? Who knows?Hot, hot, hot at NMBS #3 this weekend. How hot? Check out Georgia Gould's race report to read about how the heat can eph with you. Hope she heals up. She's got a serious chance at a medal at the Olympics this year.
Later.
