Four Eyes & Rideless Mondays Get Me Down
Had to go see the Doc today about the pink eye. I had been using some leftover drops of B-Man's to get me through the weekend, but as we all know that was not really the right way to heal up a case of skank eye. So to the Docs I went. I love my doctor. The only downside is she sort of an attractive woman with a cool African/Island accent. Let's just say I really NEVER plan on getting my prostrate check by her. I think I would rather die. I mean REALLY! Anytime a doctor is investigating anything involving intimate bits of the front and/or rear areas, he/she should really HAVE to look like the doctor from Cannonball Run.
Luckily she only had to look at my eye and say "Yep, you got pink eye". Drops were prescribed and off I went. The only shit part (other than having pink eye) is that I can't wear my contacts for a few days or more. So I have to sport the specs. Not bad for around the house or work, but my eyes are so bad, that when I wear glasses I have NO peripheral vision. It's just a wash of blur. Not really what you want when you're checking for cars coming up on your ass out on the road. I'm gonna try to get through my ride tomorrow, and then once this thing starts clearing up a bit just use contacts for when I ride and then get 'em out. Sorry Doc. That's just the way it's gotz to be.Tonight was a scheduled night off the bike. Did a quick weight/core workout and then hit the yard for some major trimming. With the high temp, all the rain we've had and me giving two shits about what my yard looks like, the yard looked like a freaking jungle. I kid you not!
The weather around here has been completely psycho this summer. The past couple weeks it was 90 degrees and as humid as a South American coke plantation. Now the high temps this week are to be in the high 60s. Oh yeah, we will of course have rain. It's WPA. You gotta have rain and gray or people might start enjoying themselves and stop wanting to move. Even today. Sunny, then cloudy, then storms, then sunny, then rain, then storms, then sunny. For Christopher's' sake, make up your F'ing mind!!
I think I'm blathering on and I need to stop. I'm filled with a bit of nervous excitement. You see the Salsa Sol Sessions kicked off yesterday, and tonight Salsa will be debuting two new models to the press and some dealer type folks (including Big Al @ Bikeman.com). I kinda, sorta, have some vague knowledge of what it is (as do many folks who lurk about bike forums all day instead of working), but I by NO means know more than it will have 29" and will be lusted for by many folks. I'm stoked to see what they roll out, as well as see the updated Salsa website on Tuesday. Stay tuned to Pepperland and here for more lusty info.
Time to rest the eye. I guess that means no porn.
Later.

you paint such a rosy picture of wpa that I sooooo want to move there.
the western PA visitors center I'm not. it has it's moments and a few good points, but I couldn't encourage someone to move here and not feel like it was a lie.
