It's 2007 All Over Again...

Race report to come , but in the mean time some random thoughts:

I missed my 12 lap goal. Did 9 laps, just like in 2007. I had time for 10. but the allure of parking my ass a the finish line for 10 minutes until noon was too great. Speaking of my ass, it feels like someone took a heated cheese grater to it. Lap 9 had MUCH standing. I think I left a hunk of taint in the chamois.

For some reason I thought it was a good idea to sleep in the hatch of my Soob for 5 hours. In hind sight, NOT a good idea. Wifey got me back out on course about 4:45 or so. Big thanks to her.

I'd like to say I felt disappointed with 9 laps and God knows what place. But I can't. I got in a hair over 100 miles of riding on some of the best trails in Western PA. Plus there was too good of a vibe at the year's race. There are so many friends and good folks to thank, give shout outs to, etc., that it will have to wait for the report. I'm very lucky to do this as my "hobby". I truly love it. No doubt it's the greatest sport ever!

Time for pizza, wings, and beer. Hold the guilt please, I just raced for "19" hours! ;)
