Near The End
Today is the second day off the bike. Got some quality sleep last night but I crave more. So much that I took a small cat nap in my car today on my lunch brake. That helped break up a day that was so boring that I had to will myself not to cry at the pathetic state of my work life. Oh, well, willing one's self not to cry beats digging a ditch. Maybe. I don't know. I'm glad this little two day rest is about over. I'm anxious to get back in the saddle tomorrow.
Speaking of saddles and the getting in there of...
My beloved 3 year old fi'zi:k Nisene HP is in it's last days. The seems are splitting, the cover cracking, and a rail is bent. We've been through a lot. We've shared a couple thousand miles I'm sure. My ass loved it so. Through the good rides and bad, my anal cleft and aging glutes felt a home on it. I must apologize to you for the many morning rides that you felt the business end of "Mexican Night" or hour 24 of a Solo effort with a 24 hour old chamois. But through all the sweat and butt stank you supported me, my boyz and my sagging buns. When you do leave me, worry not about me, for I have 2 of your brothers to keep your memory alive and my boyz rolling in comfort. Our remaining time together looks to be short. But I promise to make your last days fun, and comforting. Sigh.... Memories...Later.
