Funk, Fank, Funked...
I had an incredible weekend on the bike. OK, that's a lie. I had and incredible SUNDAY on the bike. My Monday blew ass. I love my house AND I hate my house. I love my house because it's old, it has character and it's not a cookie cutter $300,000 big brown box house that is so popular in our current time period. I hate my house because it's old, and needs a ton of shit done to it that I have NO idea how to do.
Brace yourself folks I'm going on a non bike related rant
of epic proportions. Read or don't. Your call.
of epic proportions. Read or don't. Your call.
I had a big long rant typed about my hatred of contractors and their ability to f*ck people in the same way car mechanics and doctors do. BUT it pumped out WAY to many negative vibes for the blog. All I'll say is that calling up contractors to try to do work for me is very much like my dating life was. Lots of "I'll call you backs" and "I'll stop by next weeks" that never happen. It's my dating life all over again. Hell I don't even want to have sex with the contractor I just want to PAY them to do some f*cking siding on my house! No wonder America is in the economic shitter. No one wants to work for f*ck's sake. Give me a land lord and an apartment baby! F*ck this house stuff. I've YET to see the "joy" of owning a home. It pretty much just all sucks.
And now for a bike related rant...
I also had a bit of a rant on douche bag pro roadies testing positive for EPO, CERA, GOFUKYRSLF, etc.,
But figured that there was no point. My road bike is a tool for "training" (AKA riding when the trails are too muddy) for mountain biking. If there was never another Tour, Giro, etc., I could give two flying shits. I love the Spring Classics, but I can ride in the spring mud on my own. on DIRT, without wasting my time watching pansy ass dopers doing it on road bikes. And now for some slightly positive news..
I got my wheel back from Pro Bikes today. Nipple fixed, wheel good to go and they gave me some nice love on the cost, so I can't bitch. Thanks guys! Not sure if a a ride will happen tomorrow or not. So much of my house is falling down around me I don't know if I could enjoy a ride or not. I might spend the time pouring lighter fluid throughout the house and setting it afire. But who knows?
Time to watch some Sponge Bog with the B-Man and go to bed.
Later.
p.s. Sorry for the utter negative overtones of tonight's post.

I can kind of understand the contractor rant. Friend of mine went through same thing and now she's actually doing the siding one weekend at a time. Sucks!
I've been slowly remodeling and adding a garage to our house over the past several years. I've done a lot of the work myself. I've also used some contractors. Some come when they say they will but some don't. I've been expecting the stucco guys every day since last Thursday. My brother is a contractor and he can't keep up because so many are happy with him and recommend him.
just say screw it to everything and load the car up for a road trip to NC for a race....or just take a happy pill and drink a beer.
The hardest thing is finding one and then trusting them not to f*ck you. Oh well, it will all come 'round. It can be frustrating though.
Hmm Travis, I already take a "happy pill", and enjoy beer, so I guess I have to to NC to do a race. Hmm. Nah, plenty 'o of miles to ride right here in W.P.A.
