Random Bits Of Cheapness

Finally took a full day off the bike today. But there were some random bits of bike in my life as per usual.

Firs, I had a major score in the money savings department via GNC. They were having a sale today, plus Gold Card savings (Wifey has one), plus free shipping. End result- Me ordering 3 boxes of Power Gels (my fave) and getting the average per gel cost down to about 70¢.
I know you ask- why order on line when you can't swing a doped pro without hitting a GNC? Simple. Wifey had the Gold card at work, some of local GNCs don't always have PowerBar Gels, and the shipping was Free. So an e mail to Wifey for the GC#, and I scored one for the penny pinching PowerBar Gel loving good guys (that would be me). Does being all frothy and orgasmic over saving coin on 72 gel packs make me an idiot? Please don't answer that.

When I got home from work today I saw the Mr. Postman was here to deliver a package of something black, gray and XTR, but no one was home. Soooo now I have to buy a bullet proof vest and make a trip into downtown McKeesport to fetch it. Frig!! Once the package is picked up, I move one step closer to 2009 race bike Nirvana. Little bit of this, a pinch of that, a nice helping of this, some of that and either THIS or THIS and the main rig is gonna bie T.I.T.Z.

Oh well, that's all the lameness I have for today. Time to go bask in my money saving glory and the fact that it appears my old Trek road frame set is selling for sure over on eBay... Gotz to pay the billz for the wheelz.
