There are times on a ride, you feel like a tire MIGHT be have a slow leak, so you keep stopping to check it. You can't make up your mind if it IS going flat our just under inflated. So you keep plugging on, because you're too lazy and too into the ride, AND have no desire to stop to put a new tube in. Then as you get deeper into the woods you round a corner and you hear it. The sound of a deflated tube whipping around the carcass of your tire. You slam on the brake, let out a couple f-bombs and go about changing it.
That's the best way I know how to describe what my body has been telling me the last 24 hours. I did the spin last night and felt great. But later on I sorta had a nasty taste in my mouth. During the night I had a couple coughing fits. I assumed it was just dry air. This morning I got up and felt ssssuper tired. The short cough bursts came back. And then by 2 or 3 today the bod was in full on ache mode. Yep, I'm sick.
I hope this is as bad as gets, but I'm not hopeful. A million folks at work have been sick, I braved the pediatricians office with B-Man last Friday and then got exposed to a BILLION more kid germs at Chuck E. Cheese. It was bound to happen. Time to let out a couple of f-bombs, man up, and deal with it. Frig! The worst part is not knowing if I can take any medication for all of it since I'm still on the blood thinners. I mean I want to sleep, but I don't want the BIG sleep!!!
No ride due to potential flu, but I did have B-Man birthday cake. He turned 5 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAY B-MAN!! I love you dude!!
