Rest: Day One
Rest: Day One
Spent the first day of some planned days off the bike by doing some of the mundane things that most people do on a regular basis, like clean the ephing house! I also got all the horse shit (literally) off the Dos Niner from last Saturday's trip to the mountains with Don P.
Speaking of the Dos Niner, I've been a bit frustrated with the Dos this season. I love that bike, and of all the bikes I've had, it may be my fave ever. My Ti Titus HCR was damn close, but it had tiny little 26" wheels, so the Dos edges out I guess. Anyway, I'm frustrated with the fact that I have not ridden the Dos pain free for many months. Something about the fit is jackin' my back up. It's not so much a sharp pain as just a dull ache. The kind like you get when you're pushing too big of a gear for too long. I know I need to get some second "pro fit" opinions, and I know it's not the bike per say, but a combination bike fit and current set up. Needs to get that taken care of soon, hundies approach in May and I'm counting on the Dos to drag my ass up some hills.
Still hot as ballz here. I don't mind so much, better than freezing, that's for sure. OK, time to go do some more nothing. I'm feeling stupid and lazy, I think I'll listed so some Eagles of Death Metal or someting.
Stay tuned, tomorrow is Rest: Day Two. I plan to clean the bathroom and toilet. You do NOT want to miss that!
Later.

Don’t cheap out! Lift the lid and clean under it. If you’re like me white trash Mexican does a # on it. For the Dos I highly recommend riser bars and a riser stem. I’ve got my cock pit setup like a trail bike rather than an XC race rocket. It does make the steepest of the steep climbs “Wheelie-riffic” but you make up for that on the descents.
I just setup Pepper #2 in the same manner and love it.
Peace,

Talk to Matt Tinkey he does bike fits at the UPMC sports medicine facility. He did fantastic job setting me and the price is more than reasonable.
Took the time this a.m. to flop my stem. When I switched to the 100mm I figured I could go negative. Ah.. no. So, try this until fit is scheduled.
Who are these "normal" people that get to clean house? I never seem to have time :(
Hope you get the bike fit situated!
I've made a combination of fits given by Competitive Cyclist, road bike fit.Change the stem from 90 to 100mm much better and less back pain!
