Rest: Day Three (The End of Days)
OK, this is the last one. The end of rest days. Easing the cheeks back in the saddle tomorrow for some road time. Might hit some shitty rural ghetto roads with the Dos Niner, but most likely just lay down a 2 hour road loop to get back into the swing of things.
I did need a few days off the bike, so I'm not gonna bitch too much. And I needed to get some real work done on the mag. Pretty geeked with the first article and the subject. I'll have more to say on it when the mag publishes, but some good enduro peeps helped me get access to this one. Big thanks.
Things look to be shaping up for a return trip the mountains this weekend. I figured out how to add a good 10+ miles of Seven Spring single track and few miles of road/dirt road to the loop, but not sure this weekend will be the week for that or not. But it MIGHT be! ;)
Would this SRAM group be too pimp for the Dos Niner??
Later.

Tango and cash?
Wango my Tango?
Man just go for it! Put some orange tinted crank skins on the XTR joints, rock that cassette and derailleur and send me the shifters.
Speaking of shifty bits, I finally got the grips cut down. Took 1" off each grip. Now I just need to get used to twisting. I’ve been shifting like a newbie for the last few rides. There aren’t many feeling worse than setting up to spin a short steep climb, shifting gears, realizing that you jumped 4 gears the wrong direction, loosing momentum, shifting the right direction only to screw up totally and think “Sh!t I can ride 100 miles comfortably but I can’t shift gears going up a hill?”
That’s the game of MTBing though. Thanks again for the advice on cutting those puppies.
Peace,
Metro
I made the mistake of showing the Wife the Pink SRAM stuff...
You'll get used to fast. And you'll love not hardly having to move your hands to shift come mile 75.
Travis- that pink WOULD look hot on her C'dale. Just sayin'
ooooohhhhh, me likey. I'll all about orange you know.
Two words: Nugget Gold.
It all comes back to the nuggets doesn't it?
Yo, pull da trigger and pim dat H%e
I'm sure it's some pretty spendy shifty bits though.
RobSee,
No pulling of trigger on those pimpish bits. The only think I might want from that batch is the X.O rear D. But if I know me, I'd have that thing for one ride and a stick would rip it off! So X9 will be fine (for now!) ;)
