Taking It Easy In Prep To Not

Spent most of today a slave to my Scion dealer's service center. Waiting for them to call, me calling them, waiting for them to call them back and then them FINALLY saying the xB was good to go. Glad to have it back. And that whole water in the car thing taken care of.

Didn't make it out for a ride. Wifey's gym night combined with B-Man not thrilled with the idea of hanging at the gym baby sitting and me not thrilled with the prospect of 90 degree afternoon heat and a chance for severe evening thunderstorms. The heat I could have dealt with (better than too cold!) but I figured tomorrow a.m.'s ride will come soon enough and I am sort of doing some unusual whack job (for me) recovery week stuff by planning to race again on Sunday in the form of a 45 mile XXC race. Usually I go at least a few weeks in between long races (now deemed rides), but figure "what the frig?", there's always next week to take it easy.

Looks like we're about to get slapped in the ballz with heavy T-Storms, so the trails will be off limits tomorrow. So looks like time on the road. No big, it's been a weeks since I saw pavement, so I guess I'm ready.

Time to go ready or something. Probably "or something".

Later.

Is that something your secret bonk training?

Good luck this weekend. I'm pretty sure that every biker I know is racing somewhere this weekend except me. Oh well should be a slow weekend to be working at the bike shop.

Peace,
Metro
