Capping Off A Great One
Wow, this week was good. I really needed a hard core mental enema like this week. The weather has been great, the riding has been great, my legs have felt great, and I got a ton of work done on #3. AND I hit up Boyce for a SWEET 15 mile loop today, and it was titz. Perfect trail conditions.
Another bonus to this week was getting to chill and watch the Tour, often with B-Man who at 5 is now "getting" the whole Yellow, Green, Polka-Dot (my personal fave) jersey thing. It's been so cool to have him ask me questions n'at about the race. Although I do have to say it was WAY cooler watching 24 Solo with him the other day and see him just light up and LITERALLY say how much cooler he thought the racing was compared to "the racing we watch on the TV". No to mention as soon as he saw the pit areas, etc. he commented about how it was just like the races he has been to. The whole viewing was spawned by him asking about whether they race bikes in China, which was spawned by the fact that there is a Chinese girl in his class at school which he MAY or may NOT be smitten with. I remembered there was a bit in the movie where Eatough is racing in China... BOOM! B-Man hooked! No matter WHERE it came from, it's always fun to talk bikes with B-Man. I don't want to FORCE him into anything (except not being like me) but I have to admit it is damn nice to VeloChat with him.
Time to split. I think I need to watch today's Tour coverage... AGAIN! Why? Because I CAN!! :)
Later.
