This Might Suck

10:11 a.m.- It's currently pissing down rain here, and doing the same in the State College area and it forecasted to piss down until this evening or later.. NOT looking forward to a damp evening/night of camping. Totally not regretting sucking up an early drive and getting a hotel in State College. Frig! Oh well, I'm trying to stay positive on the weekend's race. I mean they are calling for sunny skies tomorrow. Sure the trails will be slick, but hoping that the rain will just make the forest roads hook up a bit better. I could be wrong. The worst part of this race is that just about all of the single track is in the 2nd part of the race. Once you're tired and beaten down. And don't even get me started on the last section of single track a few miles from the finish. Yikes! By that point I'm usually stumbling around like a buffoon.

Taking my Lake shoes with me, haven't used them all year, but they have such a good rubber sole, that I'm thinking of using them. Stumbling around on wet rocks is going to be hard enough without slipping on the Sidi's plastic sole.

Oh well what's an endurance race without some ENDURing? ;)

Time to finish up some packing stuff and get ready to roll around 1:00.

Later.

I’m bummed to be missing it this year as I love the nasty stuff; concussion or not. Good luck out there bro. Take the lakes, some knobbies and some white trash Mexican then proceed to devastate the mid pack and confuse the leaders by asking “how much longer is this climb? This is my 1st time here, are we at least mid pack right now?” while you mix it up with them.

Then fill us in when you get back. To steal a bit from Fixy Dave “Drink Beer, Ride Hard, then Blog.”

Peace,
Metro

Sorry I didn't get a chance to chat with you on Saturday after the race. Next time. I too caught a little puke coming up in the back of mouth. It is par for the curse, ah course.

Going back a bit, I'm glad you liked our BC prep videos. We had some good laughs making them.
Maybe I'll get my blog updated soon.
Catch you later.

Burns
