Refocused & Dead Links
My brain o'mush continues to get back to normal. But somewhere in between, there was mucho envelopes packed, more e mails sent, and XXC SEVEN in the planning stages already. This is the fun part though. Especially the planning. It's like dating, and working on finding stories is like finding a date. Then when you find one designing it is like having making out. Of course by the time the issue publishes I'm usually tired of looking at it and glad to send it off. That part is sort of like marriage. I'm KIDDING WIFEY!!!
Bear bear, or big bust, what's the deal?
The 2010 bike racin' season has been one big cluster (3 planned events/races so far- 3 cancelled events/races). The trails are covered in a mix of snow, ice and slush, but I am still pumped for the season to start, if it ever does. It seems my first race won't be until the Bakers Dozen, then if it's happening the Big Bear 12 hour. If there's no 12 I might have to pull up my gutchies and do the 24. BUT from the look of GrannyGear.com you would never know they are hosting the National Championships. Man, update that shit.
I found (with my friend Don's help) ONE hyperlink on the site that allowed folks to register for the 2010 race. So I did, but now that link is dead. With the race 3 months away, you would THINK all would be in order. Glad I only put money up for the 12 hour. Not a good sign.
post office runs, print mags on the way, more stickers on the way, more Regardless of schedules, work outs continue, and things such as mind clearing meditations in the sweat lodge (that would be the Stankment), are helping with coping with the weather. I'm also geeked for spring for the arrival of the El Mariachi. Damn every time I think of that bike a get a little flutter in then nuggets.Oh well, I'm off to do nothing of any importance.
Later.

No shit. They have one of the crappiest websites I've seen and to think, I'm going to be giving them how many days worth of $$$.. I'm not sure what the hell they are doing and because of it they are eroding quickly, losing share to all of those events with blog updates, twitter, fb. for god sakes, at least get a facebook account set up... I don't want to randomly become friends with Laird - I'd be a fb stalker.
Ha! You would think USA Cycling would give him a kick in the ass?
Yeah, what that guy said! Ooops!
