Holy Roller Sunday
After yesterday's mileage feast on the gravel and dirt of my local mountain roads, I spent most of the night eating Mexican food and drinking beer whilst hangout out with my crimson haired bosomy gal pal Wifey. I then stayed up until almost 1 a.m. watching The Pacific on OnDemand. In other words I took a pretty 'tard recovery approach to a 4:30 ride. I spent the morning watching Dutch TV's live web video of Perry-Roo-Bay in conjunction with Euro Sport's audio (GOD BLESS THE WEB! It ain't just porn and bike blogs after all!) It was great!
However I wasn't going to spend my whole day WATCHING guys ride bikes, when I had some riding to do of my own. I I was Glad to see F.C. win. I really thought that he and Sniff would burn out in a wattage pissing contest and someone else would sneak in for the win. I was wrong of course. So I left the office/man cave/den of stench (I eat a lot of beans) and headed with B-Man to hang with my Dad and get some road mileage in. I hoped for the best, expected the worst and got a little bit of both.
Today's ride was not easy on tired legs, but it was still great. A few quick steep ups, and a lot of rollers. That was fine by me after yesterday's long dirt and gravel climbs. This week will have a few short rides and Saturday's Leesburg Bakers Dozen. One of my fave races of the year. Earlier this year, I hoped to compete for a top 10 at this race. I still hope to do well, but I think it may be best to hope for top 20, considering there are like EIGHTY in my class!
Tomorrow is a day off of the bike and day ON the computer and some XXC work.
Later.

Top 20 is negative talk, Top 10 is more like it. Stay away from the vomit beans of the past. Good luck!
Andrew- OK, OK, Top 10! Don't worry, there will NO SPORTS BEANS! UG!
