Getting It In
The idea of doing a ride, any ride, in the heat and humidity we have been dealing with here in WPA lately was about as appealing as having my eye lids removed. BUT, there's something about rolling rubber on dirt that makes you forget the heat and humidity, or that fact that breathing will be as about as easy as trying to inhale a sun baked water balloon.
Note: Not my balloon and not my face. I have more hair and more chin.I had a ton of work to do today, but was up after 6 a.m. to get going on it, so I still had time to ride, work, and do Fun Friday dad type stuff with the B-Man.
The ride was hot, it was humid, and the two together rendered my legs lifeless. BUT it was time in the dirt, and I'll take it for sure.
Lots of work that I still need to get done this weekend for the XXC Dirty Kanza Special Issue, and of course XXC #8. On top of that I have a big ride planned, and Wifey is going out of town for two weeks to drop knowledge on some .gov types. The plate is FULLLLLL!!
Gotta split.
