The Wall (and hitting it)

I should have saved today's title for a better post. This one is pretty lame. If you see this title again in XXC or on the Chamois, it's 'cause the well ran dry (again) and I dig the title. Sorry.

OK, Monday I did the Tour Fan Treadmill Workout, and Tuesday I did a 2:20 mountain bike road ride. So today I thought I'd do an easy couple laps on the local park trails. Hmmm..... This is a bit wordy but the phrase "I feel like I may have never been on a mountain bike in my life and weigh about 398 pounds (give or take a pizza)" comes to mind. In other words- It sucked. Correction- I SUCKED. Just had nothing. I pedaled about 7 miles and said "f*ck it" and went home. Lame. Lame with a capital L and not just because it started a sentence, but but 'cause it sucked and was so lame it needs a capital letter. In fact (and this is for Montana) it needs ALL CAPS and is SUPER LAME.

Some days I'm not sure if I need a coach, a therapist, or both.

The boy is with his Pop tonight and Wifey is in another state/province/district/suck city. So I'm gonna go watch bike movies and get some mojo back in the loins. Yep, bike porn. No lube required.

Later.

You need a riding buddy. Someone to help drag you along on days like that.

Shred, Jason has riding buddies. But they all have jobs & can't ride during the daytime on weekdays. Also when we do ride with Jason, there is no "dragging" just waiting. See ya Saturday Jason!

Wow, called jobless and slow. Now I'm brimming with self confidence. A-hole!

As for Saturday- It might have to be Sunday. Or whatever day you can't make it. ;)

trainer? seriously? no wonder you have mental "issues" if you even consider the trainer in the middle of summer.

LOL! There are issue Rick, but I wasn't on the trainer. Treadmill for a bit, but no trainer. That's for people that "train."

You are forgiven. NOT that a treadmill is all that much better! But it did allow me to get more done.
