Calm Before The Storm

Took yesterday off the bike, felt like I got hit by a truck most of the day. Then I slept like shit last night. So this morning I felt like the truck that hit me yesterday, backed up and over me today. BUT.

By mid morning I started to feel better, just as a Michigan monsoon was pissing down. Not wanting to go to the gym I climbed on the trainer. Something I have done very little of since moving to Michigan (just once prior to today). I put some race footage on the lap top in front of me, and some tuneage on the hi-fi and expected the worst. What I got was a VERY pleasant surprise. The legs felt great, and I was able able to get in my tempo HR zone and stay there for most of the ride. I've always had trouble getting my HR where I want it when on the trainer, but today I got it there and held it better than I have in a LONG time.

Not sure any of this means anything. I doubt. But it felt good. Now just to be able to hold that tempo for about 7 hours!

Off to Pennsylvania tomorrow. Might take a bike with me. Might not. I might see if I can set a record for the most weight gained in one week. I think I can do it.

Put some stuff up on the XXC Blog today too.

Later.
