Yikes! What A Friday!
I packed more in to today, than I used to pack into a week. I got a work done, a workout in, dad/husband stuff, and MORE bite the head off a bat in anger work issues solved. One article this issue has been a thorn in my side. And as expected it did not let up even when it was done. For some reason I could NOT get Adobe Acrobat to insert the pages. As soon as I did it would crash. I tried everything for many hours, and FINALLY did a yinzer-rig to get it together. So I missed my self imposed end of January deadline for Issue #10, but it should be out February 2nd at the latest. Grrrr!!
I also got my lodging for the Lumberjack squared away. NOW I just have to hope I can get registered! LOL! Even if I don't get in, I know I can get on the waiting list, and if THAT doesn't work out, then I guess I will just be "on assignment" for XXC Magazine. Not that I would complain! Especially since I got the new camera. I've only had it one day and already think it's the best P&S digital camera I've ever had.
I also got registered for my first XC race since maybe 2009's Snotcycle race in Leesburg. This one is the Rust Shaker on what I consider "home single track" at Mid Michigan Community College. The only thing is that this race is separate from some of the other Michigan races that base racing age on 12-31-11, this goes by race day age, so I have to race Pro/Expert Open if I want to race two laps. Which of course I do, I mean who the hell wants to pay $20+ for 10 miles? Not me. So I will risk looking like a fat fool to get miles per dollars in. I've done worse, for dumber reasons I suppose.
Got some good news via Terry Cycle today too. More on that later, as I am tired, I want to go to bed and me and the family are heading out for some XC skiing tomorrow.
Later.
